Welcome to the Capitol Hill Cooperative Playschool

Capitol Hill Cooperative Playschool (CHCPS) was formed by Capitol Hill families and has been in existence for over 30 years. It is a cooperative, wholly parent staffed playschool for Capitol Hill 2 year olds. Parents of the enrolled children commit to working 2-3 mornings per month to supervise play and bring snacks and organize activities. There is no additional staff. We meet either one or two mornings per week in a sunny, basement room located in the sunny lower level of:

The Lutheran Church of the Reformation

212 East Capitol Street NE

Washington, DC 20002

CHCPS has been in existence for over 30 years and is non-denominational. The CHCPS experience provides a warm, supportive environment for 2-year-old play as well as giving parents the opportunity to meet other families in the neighborhood. Participant families work together to determine the right learning and play environment for the children involved based upon the successes learned from past groups.
